Tressan

 

Tressan is a small french village, located in the Hérault département of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Its inhabitants are called the Tressanais and the Tressanaises.
The municipality extends over 3.9 km² and 580 inhabitants since the last census of the population in 2005. With a density of 148 inhabitants per km², Tressan saw a net increase of 44.3% of its population from 1999.
Surrounded by the municipalities of Puilacher, Canet and Belarga, Tressan is located 3 km southwest of Canet the largest city in the surrounding area. 
Located 70 metres above sea level, the Hérault River, the barn, the stream of Lieutre Creek are the major rivers that cross the municipality of Tressan.
The commune is close to the national park of the Cevennes.

​Le village est un bourg perché pittoresque qui possède de belles demeures romanes et gothiques. A admirer plus particulièrement, les maisons de la rue Haute et de la rue des Barris (la Villa Margaux). Le château féodal des XIVe-XVe siècles s'intègre au rempart : c'est une grande bâtisse avec de belles fenêtres, agrandie au XVIIe siècle qui conserve notamment une salle voûtée d'ogives. L'église date du XIIe siècle. A découvrir le charmant endroit des rives de l'Hérault.

The village is a picturesque hilltop village that has Romanesque and Gothic mansions. A specifically, admire the houses of high street and the street of the Barris (Villa Margaux). The feudal Castle from the 14th-15th centuries integrates with the rampart: it is a large building with beautiful windows, enlarged in the 17th century which preserves including a vaulted warheads. The Church dates from the 12th century. Discover the charming place on the banks of the Hérault.
